CBMS Board Symposium

Lab-on-a-Chip – Fundamentals and Applications of Chemical and Biological Microsystems

date to be confirmed

Covid-19: As you will be aware, the Covid–19 virus is causing disruption and many countries are issuing travel restrictions and taking mitigating actions for travel and holding meetings. This has made it impossible to holder symposium at its originally scheduled slot in the middle of May 2021. We will be announcing a new date in due course.

Our meeting will bring together researchers developing and applying microfluidic systems for chemical and biological applications from the UK and beyond. The one day event will provide an opportunity to network, present posters and hear talks on a wide variety of cutting-edge topics on both fundamental aspects and applications of lab-on-a-chip devices.

Oral presentations will be given by the board members of the Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society (CBMS). PhD students, Early Career Researchers as well as established scientists are invited to present posters. Topics will include lab-on-chip, organ-on-a-chip, digital microfluidics, paper microfluidics, integrated diagnostics systems, microfabrication etc. for applications in chemistry, measurement sciences, biology and medicine.

Attendees will be able to network during breaks and poster sessions as well as during a wine reception at the end of the event. The President of the CBMS, Prof. Nicole Pamme, invites you to take part in this event and looks forward to welcoming you in Hull.
