AMD started Opteron 6168 sales 29 March 2010. This is Magny-Cours architecture desktop processor primarily aimed at professional systems. It has 12 cores and 12 threads and is manufactured using 45 nm process technology, the maximum frequency is 1900 MHz, the multiplier is locked.
This is a socket processor in terms of compatibility.
