TUNING THE ATI
SUPER DAMPER FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE
Extensive dyno and on-track testing has proven the Super Damper
far superior to all other designs, especially on engines that
turn over 5000 rpm.
Our dampers are used on performance and
endurance engines worldwide. Every Sprint Cup, Nationwide
Series, and Camping World Truck engine, and every ASA
LSI Vortec engine. GM’s Vortec off-road 6 cylinders,
the Katech World Challenge C5R Corvettes, and Viper
V10 engines. They all use the ATI Super Damper because
it has proven to be the most effective damper in the
world, thanks to it’s versitily and tunabilty.
To tune the Super Damper on such a wide range of high perfomance
engines, the dampers use seven different inertia weights from
1.2 to 4.5 lbs. Elastomer O-rings in 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and
90 durometer are available to match a specific inertia weight
to a given engine to eliminate torsional twist of the crankshaft.
ATI’s
Super Damper™ field testing is performed by J.C. Beattie
utilizing Scentific Atlanta’s SA390-2 state-of-the-art Dynamic
Signal Analyzer and SA 250 torsional convertor. Coupled
to a custom designed optical encoder pickup that bolts directly
to the front of the damper, J.C. can read up to twenty orders
of harmonic vibration. He can then adjust inertia weight
and elastomer durometer to reduce specific orders on a given
engine. By analyzing the torsional crank twist and installing
the correct ATI damper, torsionals can be reduced to 2/10s
of a degree or less.
CRANKSHAFT TORSIONAL VIBRATION MEASUREMENTS

every Sprint Cup engine builder in the country and has
extensively tested numerous engines at hundreds of locations

SU Freight Exchange introduced the Report Constructor service
ATI.SU Freight Exchange launched the Report Constructor service. The tool is designed for business owners and executives who need to more accurately estimate and forecast logistics costs.
Within the framework of ATI.SU, an analytics system has been created that allows you to evaluate the work of the logistics department according to various parameters. Ready-made reports help track how much cargo and in what direction the company transported, how efficiently employees work, which partners and directions are key for it, and also evaluate the savings on bidding. Having identified the need of users for more personalized reports, the ATI.SU team developed the Report Designer service — it adapts to the requests and business processes of each company, and now they can select only the data they need for work.
For analysts and managers, the new tool makes it easier to test various hypotheses and scenarios, check their effectiveness, track changes in processes, and maintain budgeting. Downloaded reports are convenient to use in BI systems for generating charts.
The service helps logisticians to evaluate the volume of shipped cargo, study the history of trades, rates, transactions and other parameters.
The new service is especially useful for large and medium-sized businesses. At any time, shippers and forwarders can upload the necessary event history data for selected parameters, generate personalized reports and make decisions based on their analytics. This helps to solve both operational tasks, for example, the investigation of incidents, and long-term ones, such as budget management.
Report Builder has easy customization. It can be expanded as much as possible if the user has additional information requirements. In this case, the necessary data and fields for them are pulled into the system upon request. This is also convenient for the developer, as it allows you to quickly add new parameters when it is necessary for a particular user.
Configurable parameters help to personalize the upload of a data array from various ATI. SU services — to select the necessary events and categories and exclude optional ones. For example, in order to evaluate the efficiency of a flight, it is important for a shipper to understand how many packages are loaded in a vehicle. And if earlier it was impossible to track this in ready-made reports, now there is such a parameter in the «Constructor» — it is easy for the user to get information that could not be known before.
If a company conducts all the processes of the supply chain through ATI.SU, the Report Designer will help you see the whole picture, conduct comprehensive and convenient analytics, track problem areas and improve work. The service has all the resources necessary for this.
The ATI.SU team plans to develop a similar product for carriers, which will allow you to receive transportation reports with all the necessary parameters.
“In the development of services, we try to move towards personalization, as we understand that the processes in companies are different and they need tools with flexible settings.
So, we already have templates in ATI-Docs, which can be modified if necessary. In ″Report Builder″ we have also provided this possibility. Users can independently choose the parameters for uploading data. After all, some market participants need an assessment of work with cargo and orders, while others need to see, for example, how efficiently the site works. Thus, the new service simplifies the processes of analysis, planning and forecasting as much as possible,” – commented Svyatoslav Vilde, founder and director of ATI.SU Freight Exchange.
ATI (without base)
ATI is designed for round-the-clock operation with continuous measurement of temperature and its rate of change. If the threshold values of these parameters are exceeded, a fire alarm is sent to the control panel.
A red LED is used to indicate the status directly on the device case.
Indicator modes:
- «Normal»: standby mode, flashing with a period of 15 s
- «Normal»: standby mode with detector illumination (set in the control panel): flashing with a period of 0.
5 s
- «Alarm»: fire notification, quasi-continuous (flashing at 10 Hz) glow
In order to improve accuracy and eliminate false alarms, it is possible to configure the maximum detector class (A1, A3, B, C, D) from the control panel and enable the «differential operation mode».
The design consists of a base (mounting base) and a detector unit made of impact-resistant materials. Installation of the detector unit in the base is carried out without the help of an additional tool, by turning until the limiters actuate.
Versions are available with a regular base and with a base for mounting in false ceilings.
