The older Athlon XP 2600+ processors have arrived


By default, the processor runs at a real clock frequency of 2133Mhz, on a 133Mhz bus (with x16 multiplier). Looking at the code of the AXDA2600DKV3D processor, it is clear that this processor has a revision B core, which means that the processor should overclock better. However, overclocking brought complete disappointment — at first I set the bus to 166, hoping to get 2650Mhz. The processor did not start. I lowered the frequency to 155Mhz, then to 150 and 145 — the processor did not start at all. Hmm. Then I decided to raise the multiplier — normally, as you remember, the multiplier is 16. At x16.5, the processor worked :). With multiplication 17 — too. But then — absolutely no … In total, we got overclocked to 133Mhz — a rather dull sight, isn’t it? I forgot to say that I raised the voltage by 0.2V, because the processor did not get any easier from a higher voltage increase …
