Overview of the Intel Xeon Processor E5-2649v3
Intel’s Xeon E5-2649 v3 processor based on the Haswell-EP microarchitecture is designed for servers. The release of the processor took place in 2014.
The processor supports PCI, giving us the ability to install various devices. The installed PCI Express bus adapter version 3.0 contains 40 lanes. The PCI-e version 3.0 bus allows you to install NVMe SSDs (Solid State Drives) through the appropriate slot in U.2, M.2 or PCI card formats.
The manufacturer claims that the bandwidth of the bus will be 9.6 GT/s QPI (4800 MHz)
