  • A8-5600K. Its operating frequencies are 3.6-3.9 GHz. There is an unlocked multiplier that allows you to do the overclocking procedure. Power consumption is 100W;
  • A8-5500. The power consumption of this model is reduced to 65 W, but the operating clock frequency has slightly decreased — up to 3.2-3.7 GHz. Overclocking remains.

A6 and A4

The differences between these two processors are not too significant, so they can be combined into one group. Their design provides only two cores and a second-level cache of 1 megabyte. Both processors have the same power consumption — 65 watts. However, there are slight differences in operating frequencies and graphics adapters:

  • A6-5400K. Frequencies 3.6-3.8 GHz. There is a possibility of overclocking. Integrated HD 7540D graphics;
  • A4-5300. Here, the operating frequencies are 3.4-3.6 GHz, and the graphics core is HD 7480D. The possibility of overclocking is saved.

Athlon

This process differs from the rest in that it does not have an integrated graphics core, but it costs a little cheaper than its counterparts and at the same time is not inferior to them in performance. All processors of the model range have a cache of 4 megabytes (second level). Power consumption at the level of 65-100 watts.

Let’s take a closer look at the available models:

  • Athlon II X4 750k. The working frequency of this model is 3.4-4.0. The multiplier is unlocked, allowing for overclocking. Heat dissipation (without overclocking) is 100 W;
  • Athlon II X4 740. Frequencies — 3.2-3.7 GHz. Power consumption 65 watts;
  • Athlon II X4 730. Operating frequency 2.8 GHz. Overclocking is not supported. TPD is 65W.

«Stones» from this line are more perfect copies of their predecessors from the Trinity line. The main advantage of the new models was reduced heat dissipation from 65-100 watts to about 45 watts. Otherwise, there were practically no changes — these are the same processors with 2-4 cores and 1-4 MB cache, however, with slightly increased frequencies. For already existing processors, the labeling was changed and the frequencies were raised.

A10

This is the flagship APU A10 processor. It has 4 cores and a 4 megabyte second-level cache. The video chip integrated into the processor is labeled 8670D. The two older models have a heat dissipation of 100 watts, while the younger one has 65 watts.

Consider their characteristics in more detail:

  • A10 6800K. They have operating frequencies 4.1-4.4 with the possibility of overclocking. Worth the letter «K»;
  • A10 6790K. Frequencies — 4.0-4.3. There is a possibility of overclocking;
  • A10 6700. Frequencies 3.7-4.3 GHz. There is acceleration.

A8

Model The A8 series has been expanded with smaller processor models that generate only 45W of heat, so they can be used in compact systems such as laptops. The old processors from the previous Trinity line also received a small update, but they only increased their frequencies and updated the markings. All processors of this model range have a second cache level of 4 megabytes. Consider the initially updated processors from the previous model line:

  • A8 6600K. Operating frequency 3.9-4.2 GHz. There is an integrated graphics chip 8570D. The multiplier is unlocked, therefore, the operating frequencies can be increased by overclocking. Heat dissipation 100 W;
  • A8 6500. Frequencies 3.5-4.1 GHz. Heat dissipation 65 watts. The rest of the specifications are the same as the previous model.

New low heat and power processors:

  • A8 6700T. Frequencies 2.5-3.5 GHz. Video chip 8670D;
  • A8 6500T. Frequencies 2.1-3.1 GHz. Video chip 8550D.

A6

The processors of this model range have 2 cores and 1 megabyte of cache on board. The multiplier is unlocked for everyone, therefore, you can increase the operating frequencies at your discretion by overclocking. The heat dissipation of both processors is 65 watts. All have an integrated 8470D video card. Differences only in the operating frequency for different models:

  • A6 6420K. Support for frequencies 4.0-4.2 GHz;
  • A6 6400K. Support for frequencies 3.9-4.1 GHz.

A4

One of the «weakest» of the presented processors. They have two cores and an integrated graphics adapter. Heat dissipation is 65 watts. Not possible to overclock by multiplier.

This model range includes the following processors:

  • A4 7300 with frequencies of 3.8-4 GHz. Integrated graphics adapter 8470D;
  • A4 6320 with operating frequencies 3.8-4.0 GHz. GPU 8370D;
  • A4 6300 with operating frequencies 3.8-3.9 GHz. GPU 8370D;
  • A4 4020 with operating frequencies 3.2-3.4 GHz. GPU 7480D;
  • A4 4000 with operating frequencies 3.8-3.9 GHz. GPU 7480D.

Athlon

Athlon processors have undergone some changes. They also lack an integrated graphics card. There are models with 4 megabytes of cache, as well as power consumption of 100 and 65 watts. There are models with 4 and 2 cores, let’s consider each of them in more detail:

  • Athlon x4 760k. Operating frequencies 3.8-4.1 GHz. There is an unlocked multiplier, therefore, the processor can be overclocked;
  • Athlon x2 370k. Processor at 4 GHz. Overclocking is not supported;
  • Athlon x2 350. Operating frequencies 3.5-3.9 GHz. Supported overclocking;
  • Athlon x2 340. Operating frequencies 3.2-3.6 GHz. Supported overclocking.

When choosing a processor, you need to consider what the computer will be used for. Models with an integrated graphics core are more expensive, but in this case, the computer can do without a video card. However, such processor models are not able to make a full-fledged replacement for a video card. Models whose video core supports Dual-graphics technology can be used in conjunction with a video card, which will achieve even greater performance.
