The first details of the AMD Kaveri series of mobile APUs that we will be able to meet in new laptops have appeared. Seven models are expected: AMD A6-7000, AMD A8-7100, AMD A8-7200P, AMD A10-7300, AMD A10-7400P, AMD FX-7500 and AMD FX-7600P. All of them are based on the 28nm AMD Steamroller microarchitecture in a BGA package.
The AMD A6-7000 APU is the only one of the new offerings to feature only two processor cores and AMD Radeon R4 series graphics. However, it also has the lowest TDP — 17 watts. Versions AMD A8-7200P, AMD A10-7400P and AMD FX-7600P are characterized by a 35-watt thermal package, as indicated by the index «P» in their name. This allows them to demonstrate the maximum performance in their series and work with faster memory (DDR3-1866 / 2133 MHz).
AMD A8-7100, AMD A10-7300 and AMD FX-7500 solutions strike a balance between performance and TDP. In particular, their clock speeds are slightly lower than the P-index variants, but the TDP is only 19W. Summary table of technical specifications for AMD Kaveri mobile processors:

For obvious reasons, AMD products are becoming the favorite of the news feeds these days, as the company will not only introduce completely new video cards at the end of September and rename old ones well, but also hopes to release Kaveri hybrid processors in Socket FM2 + before the end of the fourth quarter , motherboards for which are already on sale.
Our colleagues from the German site Planet3DNow.de found a description of the characteristics of the graphics subsystem of Kaveri processors in the SiSoft Sandra benchmark database. Unlike their server counterparts named Berlin, which will be content with 512 GPU stream processors, Kaveri desktop processors will get 832 corresponding blocks in the maximum configuration.
