The timestamp is updated by host on each hardware polling iteration, so it allows the plugin to precache and reuse some sensor data if the same physical sensor value is being used in multiple data sources exported by plugin. Such approach is demonstrated in updated CPU.dll plugin for duplicating the same temperature sensor value for all cores on AMD CPU
- Added optional plugin initialization callback function, which is called by the host before unloading the plugins. New multithreaded Ping.dll plugin is demonstrating new function usage to shut down ping monitoring thread properly
- Improved monitoring plugins:
- Updated CPU.dll plugin is demonstrating AMD Ryzen CPU temperature monitoring implementation and optimal duplication of the same temperature sensor readback for all CPU cores
- Added new Ping.dll plugin for monitoring ping to desired server via ICMP echo requests. Please take a note that the plugin is configured to monitor ping to www.guru3d.com by default, it is up to you to specify target server name or IP address in the plugin properties
- Improved skin engine:
- Optimized skin rendering performance for skins using multiple overlapped animated indicators
- Added position smoothing support to skinned indicators

MSI Afterburner
If you’re planning on overclocking your GPU or in the market for monitoring your hardware then utilizing MSI Afterburner is a nice and simple way of doing so. As the most popular overclocking software it didn’t reach that status without reason. It doesn’t limit the usability to any particular brand of graphics cards. Gain complete control of your AMD or Nvidia GPU for free no less.
Afterburner has multiple uses and is not just for overclocking. It also allows you accurate and up-to-date tracking of your performance on the go. With integrated overlay software you can keep an eye on things as you use it to make sure everything is working as it should. Or if you opt for something less intrusive with monitoring in the background for evaluation later. You have a wide range of metrics: framerates, clocks, fan speeds, temperatures, and more.
If you do plan on overclocking, you can change the core clock, memory clock, fan speed, fan curve, and if you are brave also the voltage. Changing these options is as simple as changing a slider and then accepting the change, which makes it super simple but it is recommended to only change it in small increments. Once you have the options dialed in you can save it to different profiles to quickly change between different ones.

MSI Afterburner 4.63 Beta 5 supports Radeon RX 6000 overclocking
Unwinder, the developer of MSI Afterburner has released a new version of the monitoring and overclocking tool.
The new version 4.6.3 Beta 5 has now overclocking support for Radeon RX 6000 series: RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6800. All these SKUs are based on AMD RDNA2 architecture and have been released last year. Unwinder needed more time to work on these cards and only after 2 months there is finally official support for overclocking.
Please note that MSI Afterburner will not work unless Radeon Software is configured to “Manual” mode, as the settings applied by Afterburner will be overwritten by AMD software otherwise.
The software also received a new Big Navi themed skin, which is not even mentioned in the changelog. The skin is inspired by a black and silver design of the reference Radeon RX 6000 series.

Changelog
- AMD Navi 21 GPU architecture support
- New hybrid automatic software fan control mode.
This mode allows you to combine default hardware fan curve and user defined software fan curve and dynamically switch between those two modes on temperature threshold. Such implementation can be useful on the cards with limited software fan control range (on both AMD and NVIDIA hardware) if you wish to use deault hardware fan curve (with active native fan stop technology) in lower temperatre range and use customized software fan curve in higher temperature zone. This is acheived by new option called “Override zero fan speed with hardware curve” option. When this option is enabled, you’re telling MSI Afterburner to engage default fan control mode in zero fan speed zone of your custom fan curve.
- Added “Use firmware control mode” option to software automatic fan control module. This option allows customizing fan curve at GPU firmware level instead of doing it entirely in software, so it doesn’t require keeping MSI Afterburner loaded in memory in order to get custom fan curve working.
Also this option can be used to bypass various third party issues related to broken fixed fan speed programming API in some display drivers (e.g. Overdrive8 API related screen flickering on some AMD GPUs). New option is only supported on limited set of modern GPUs (Vega and newer AMD GPU families, Ampere and newer NVIDIA GPU families) and it has multipe GPU firmware based limitations such as limited maximum supported number of nodes for the curve (quad slope curve and up to 5 curve nodes on AMD, dual slope curve and up to 3 curve nodes on NVIDIA), lack of step/linear mode switching support, lack of hysteresis adjustment support etc. Please refer to new option context help to get more details.
- “Erase autosaved startup settings” option is now disabled by default in AMD compatibility properties
- Process specific memory and videomemory usage performance counters, introduced in the previos beta, are now disabled by default. The counters rely of RTSS, so enabling them will also cause RTSS to be autoloaded with MSI Afterburner similar to the rest RTSS based functionality (such as framerate or frametime monitoring).
- Improved backward comaptibility, fixed MSI Afterburner crashing when using it with older versions of RTSS without process specific memory and videomemory performance counters support.
- Fixed monitoring window display in minimized state on the first detach.
- Updated bundled MSI OC Scanner application. Fake error 22h, which can be reported by NVAPI on early callback function calls, is now supressed and ignored.
- RivaTuner Statistics Server has been upgraded to v7.3.0 beta 10

MSI Afterburner 4.6.0 updated to beta 16: UI fixed and new skin added | Hi-Tech
We all hoped that MSI Afterburner 4.6.0 would soon be released in the final version, but just 2 days after the release of beta 15, Alexey Nikolaychuk released beta 16. The main reason for this was the need to tweak the interface for comfortable work with Radeon VII .
Here’s what Unwinder himself said, commenting on the peculiarities of the next beta version: “Unexpectedly. .. beta 16. The most popular question from RADEON VII owners according to the feedback analysis on the latest version: where is my usual slider for changing the core voltage? Force of habit is an absolutely powerful thing, and owners of AMD cards are clearly not used to adjusting voltages in AB at the level of the frequency / voltage curve editor. Therefore, it was decided to simply duplicate the functionality by linking the old «traditional» voltage control slider to the voltage of the upper P-State, adjustable in the editor. Accordingly, it is now possible to change the voltage both there and there, as it is more convenient for anyone. nine0006
Also re-enabled AMD’s GPU load counter filtering algorithm (existed in the past to work around the exact same issues with the AMD Hawaii GPU family). So the loading schedule will become more inert and smooth, but much less tachycardic.
For the sake of these two small but useful innovations, we are releasing a new version” .
New skin MSI Afterburner
The control interface using hotkeys has also been slightly changed. The list of changes is given below:
- The keys Tab and Shift+Tab can now be used to switch between points on the frequency/voltage curve. Smooth adjustment of the values is carried out with the keys up / down , and with additional clamping Ctrl switching is carried out by 10 MHz.
- To edit the frequency shift point on the graph, press Enter, by pressing Shift+Enter you can set the absolute target frequency. nine0028
- Slightly changed keyboard control of frequency/voltage graph on AMD cards. Previously, to set the frequency, the cursor key combinations up / down were used, and the voltages — to the left / to the right . Now the frequency and voltage are adjusted with the arrows, and the focus changes to PageUp / PageDown .
- On AMD cards, to move the entire frequency/voltage curve, you need to hold down the Alt key, just like on NVIDIA video cards. nine0028
- Added support for undo/redo by key combinations Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y . After the curve is applied, the change history is cleared.
- NVIDIA Scanner components have been updated to the latest version. Problems with NVML.dll should be resolved.
In addition to all of the above, the utility has got a new skin by Chris «Drerex» Drerap.

I went through it myself! We need to solve the wood problem. If something is wrong — demolish the DDU program and achieve a successful installation, and only after that install the burner 4.4.2. This also applies to installing Windows. When I put the burner before firewood on the video, it didn’t start for me either. I demolished the burner, then the Display Driver Uninstaler demolished the firewood and then in the reverse order and everything worked and works! nine0003

You recommend the old version to him.
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/msi-afterburner-beta-download,2.html
Download 4.4.2 Stable/Final [ 843392 downloads | Report broken link ]
The latest version is 4. 4.2. It is necessary to install with all the jackdaws, it is desirable to delete the old one.
Drivers need to be installed on the Blockchain, and not those that you download from the site or go to the cards.
This is how it will work.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-art…eta-for-Blockchain-Compute-Release-Notes.aspx
There is a special utility for uninstalling AMD drivers, that’s what you need to remove
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx
Three points must be observed in order for it to work program.
1. Blockchain drivers. When you look at the date on them it will be August 2017.
2. The last autoburner, with a rivatuner, and everything that he asks to install.
3. If necessary, clean old AMD drivers. Because Windows itself sometimes puts them as new. It is necessary to block the update of Windows if you set the settings so that the system asks. nine0115 If it doesn’t work, try different versions of the autoburner. There are no rules in mining, all work is by selection, the search for a working option.
When installing AMD drivers, you will see hieroglyphs, this is normal. Everyone has them. You need to know where to click, and in order to know, put the usual drivers and see where to click, take a photo if you have a bad memory.
The swap file for Windows should be 8-16 gigs, RAM on the farm is also desirable 8.
SSD is better to take 120 gigs, because the operating system is growing, and sooner or later you will not have free space. nine0003
Don’t blame AMD cards for having problems. It’s just that you don’t know how to solve the issue, you’re fussing, I don’t know, I’m wandering around, the forums would be read first.
The topic was written but no one clearly painted how to solve the issue. H. do not write, write how you solved the issue and what versions you have. When you ask, describe what you have. It’s easier to understand what you don’t have.
It’s like trying to put the wrong part on a car.
Describe what you picked up, what model, where you put it, why you put it, whether it fits or not. nine0115 Everything must have answers, then you are a miner. So so or so. Ask what else to try, I tried it and it did not work out. And most importantly, where did you get that this is how it should be done. Give me an article here that recommends exactly the drivers that you installed or the autoburner.
Correct decision to ask what you put and where to get it. What works for whom. Then you will not cry that the Radeon cards are bad.

Rearranged (deleted DDU, though not in safe mode) on the blockchain, AB worked, but the hashrate fell by 1 Mx from the card (RX 550). I danced with a tambourine for an hour and a half (including trying to set the coolers to a lower temperature by editing the BIOS) and returned to what it was (Adrenaline without AB, temperatures of average cards are under 70). Watttool and Overdrive tried, did not work.
I love Radeons, it’s not boring with them.

Guys tell me please, the core voltage was blocked, I really tried many ways to open it, it turned out by changing the original values in the folder where the application is installed, gemorno PPC, overcame it, but now the trouble is in another, I need to put -96, but the values in this slider are 800-1200 , and for all -100+100 , how to tell me?

I explain again, the drivers must be blockchain, August 2017, and not 17.11.1 you have them November 2017, junk
The second I read should be installed with a rivatuner, something is put there that the program needs.
I also encountered such a problem, it didn’t work with the latest drivers, that’s just like yours, and I decided everything as I wrote to you. nine0115 To remove AMD drivers, there is a native AMD utility, and not any DDU. Which happens to be crooked drivers are demolished and not all are cleaned up.

And we read carefully: Everything works fine on one mother, but not on the other. On which the mother does not work, I take down Windows, I put it clean, the blockchain is firewood and one hell does not work. So your advice is accepted, but one horse-radish does not work.

Did you install an autobrner with a rivatuner? In the device manager, everything is installed? nine0115 Did you install Windows updates?
Yesterday you wrote your drivers are 17.1.1., but now write the blockchain, Is it called the blockchain? what drivers are written in your autoburner, is there a word blockchain?
It is desirable to lay out screenshots of what you have there, including from the device manager, make a property of the graphics adapter and look at the date of the driver. Because Windows can install the driver automatically.
Once again the version of the autoburner, you installed the last one, tried the previous versions. Is there a patch for AMD drivers? nine0115 Post a photo or everything is contrived by you.
you need to download the autoburner not from the MSI website
http://www. guru3d.com/files-details/msi-afterburner-beta-download,2.html
You need to download the latest 3-4 versions from here and try it. Maybe you are deleting the autoburner incorrectly, it sometimes does not delete settings, do you read what the program writes when deleting *?
You need to look at the driver in the device manager, what you put there, and not what you wrote about 17.11.1 yesterday, and you are already writing about the blockchain. nine0115 Windows 10? Building the latest Windows?
Well, if it works on another mother, you need to compare driver versions in the device manager. See the assembly of Windows, watch Windows updates. New Windows updates are not there. Sometimes you put old builds.
I installed Win10, latest build.
Your problem is that the autoburner does not see the video card drivers, here and how it is incorrectly installed in the autoburner without a ria tuner, or the old riva tuner costs
Do screenshots and see.
If it works on another mother, then it should work on this one, see the mother’s BIOS version. nine0003
