Specifications Intel Pentium 4 HT 631 Cedar Mill: tests, competitors, price
Pentium 4 HT 631
Number of cores — 1, manufactured according to 65 nm process technology, Cedar Mill architecture. Thanks to Hyper-Threading technology, the number of threads is 2, which increases the performance of multi-threaded applications and games.
The base frequency of the Pentium 4 HT 631 cores is 3 GHz. Please note that the Intel Pentium 4 HT 631 cooler must cool processors with a TDP of at least 86 W at stock frequencies. When overclocked, the requirements increase.
Thanks to the built-in N/A video core, the computer can work without a discrete graphics card because the monitor is connected to the video output on the motherboard.

Game Tests
Our measured FPS in popular games on Intel Pentium 4 HT 631 and system requirements. Please note that the official requirements of developers in games do not always match the data of real tests. Also, the result is strongly influenced by the overclocking of the system and the graphic settings in the game. We test at high settings in FullHD resolution to get numbers close to real gameplay.
There are currently 0 games in our database. On average, in all gaming tests, the processor scored 0 out of 100, where 100 is the fastest gaming processor to date.

Yes |
ThreadsNumber of threads. The number of logical processor cores that the operating system sees. | 2 |
Multi-Threading Technology With Intel’s Hyper-threading and AMD’s SMT technology, one physical core is recognized by the operating system as two logical cores, thereby increasing processor performance in multi-threaded applications. | Hyper-threading (note that some games may not work well with Hyper-threading, for maximum FPS you can try to disable the technology in the BIOS of the motherboard). |
Base frequencyThe guaranteed frequency of all cores (P-cores in the case of the corresponding architecture) of the processor at maximum load. It is important to remember that speed and frequency are not directly related. For example, a new processor at a lower frequency may be faster than an old one at a higher one.![]() |
3 GHz |
BCLK System bus frequency. Some motherboards allow you to achieve a good performance boost by slightly raising the bus frequency. Often this has a bad effect on the stability of the system. | 200 |
CPU multiplier. The final CPU frequency is determined by the simple formula BCLK * CPU multiplier. Modern processors instantly change the multiplier of each of the cores, taking into account the type of load, temperature, consumption and settings in the BIOS. | 15 |
TDPThermal Design Power is an indicator that determines heat dissipation in standard operation. The cooler or water cooling system must be rated for a larger value. Remember that with a factory bus or manual overclocking, TDP increases significantly. | 86 W |

Cache and RAM
L1 Cache First level cache. Modern processors use a multi-level cache. The first is the fastest, but the smallest. In the case of an L1 access and a miss, the L2 cache is searched for the next stage. | 28K |
L2 Cache Second level cache. Holds more data, but is slower. | 2MB |
Supported type of RAM The type of RAM depends on its frequency and timings (speed), availability, price. | DDR1, DDR2, DDR3 Dual-channel |
Video core
Integrated graphics core Allows you to use your computer without a discrete graphics card. The monitor is connected to the video output on the motherboard. If earlier integrated graphics made it possible to simply work at a computer, today it can replace budget video accelerators and makes it possible to play most games at low settings.![]() |

Reviews about Pentium 4 631
I have a similar crap. I have a normal PC with me, I’m too lazy to look for something as a hard drive for this infernal machine. Specifications: Pentium 4 531, some kind of intel mother (intel, because the computer is branded, most likely from Eldarado)))), 1gb with 2 sticks of 512 ddr1 each on noname chips, sparkle geforce 6600gt on pci -e, powerman, sata hard on 1tb (for formatting which they will give me cunts), an intel box cooler with a copper core, a floppy, a floppy drive, a top case with a built-in riabas and a bunch of goodies (creative soundblaster sound system, which I would check on my mostly PC, but my mother doesn’t have pci x4, d-link network card, sata and ide cable, 1280×1024 NEC TN 75Hz monitor, which I use as a second monitor, PS / 2 keyboard and mouse) .

NM is an assembly technology in nanometers, or simpler \»the size of one transistor\» the smaller the value, the better, in general, the central processor consumes less energy and heats up less during overclocking and processes data faster, regardless of its hertz, one in a word, the higher the value, the longer the signal passes through the transistors, for example, Cor Duo 2 with a net 3.6 GHz had 100,000,000 transistors installed on board to obtain such a total power, now the i9 is produced according to 11 NM technology, the number of transistors is measured in billions.
The essence of hyperthreading is that Intel processors, starting with Pentium, have several RISC-like computing units inside, and the x86 architecture is emulated using software-hardware emulation. Not every x86 command requires the work of all 4-8-etc blocks, which is why the developers came up with the idea to virtually split one core into two so that simple commands are executed twice as fast .
