The Radeon R7 240 Graphics Card from GIGABYTE is a computer graphics card that includes Windows drivers and can be installed in desktop computers with PCI Express expansion slots. It can be used for video games, dual monitor setups, or when using applications that benefit from or require a dedicated graphics card.

This card features a 780 MHz GPU that can be overclocked (boosted) to 900 MHz with the help of the included OC GURU ll utility software. To move data to and from the GPU as quickly as possible, the card features 2GB of 1.8 GHz DDR3 RAM and a 128-Bit memory interface.

The Radeon R7 240 can be connected to a variety of display types, including computer monitors, HDTVs, projectors, and 3D displays. It features an HDMI port, a single-link DVI-D (digital only) port, and a VGA port for devices that take an analogue signal. With this card, you can connect up to two displays concurrently, and it supports displays with up 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution through the HDMI port.

Thanks to AMD HD3D you can view 3D content from Blu-ray DVDs, video games, 3D graphics software, and other 3D applications when using the card in conjunction with compatible active or passive 3D displays

    The output board of this card supports digital and analog displays. DVI and HDMI outputs can drive digital displays and support resolutions of up to 2560 x 1600. The VGA output can drive legacy displays with analog inputs and supports resolutions up to 2048 x 1536.

    This card is cooled with an active fansink cooler. A large axial fan forces air through the heatsink, quietly dissipating the heated air away from the card. Fansink designs recirculate air back into the tower case, so they are best used in cases that have unrestricted airflow.

    AMD’s Stream Technology allows you to use the computing power of the GPU to accelerate demanding applications other than graphics processing such as video encoding, where the GPU is much better suited than the CPU.

    Watch protected video content from DVDs and Blu-rays in HD. The GPU will also accelerate the video playback with AMD’s Unified Video Decoder for smooth, high-definition content.

    AMD’s CrossFire X works with compatible motherboards and allows you to install and combine up to four of the same GPUs to split the processing load and render graphics with improved frame rates and image quality in supported applications.

    AMD’s HD3D Technology creates a more immersive gaming and media experience by presenting pseudo-3D graphics from ordinary 2D images for a more immersive gaming and media experience.

    Mantle is an API developed by AMD for game developers to work in conjunction with the GCN processing architecture. Games that support the Mantle API will enjoy increased graphics rendering performance by being able to interface directly with the GPU.
