ASUS RoG Tytan G70 Gaming PC Unveiled
With the introduction of the ASUS RoG Tytan G70 Gaming PC, it seems that the time has long gone when the PC World would be awed by impressive build alone. With the majority of the high-end gamers making their rigs from scratch it is quite a difficult world that a Pre-Built Gaming PC has to survive in. Some Prebuilt PCs like the Origin- Xbox 360 build did manage the impossible, but after that I cannot truly say I know of any other exception of the top of my head.
Without further ado, the details of the Reveal:
The Asus RoG Tytan G70 features upto a i7-4770k, a Z87 Motherboard, upto a GTX 780 (3GB) Graphics Cards (Single), 4GB Ram (Expandable to 32GB) and upto 15gb of Hard Disk Capability coupled with upto a 256 GB SSD.
The Full Specs can be found here.
RoG Tytan G70 — The Pros:
- One of the only things that will cause a Gamer to fawn over the RoG Tytan G70 is the unbelievable cooling system housed inside.
Whenever the Turbo mode is activated, the Case will literally transform, spewing out 6 front facing and 2 rear facing fans that will make even the hottest insides cool again. Combined with 2 bottom grid fans and the water cooling solution inside this is one hell of a thermally stable system. If that wasn’t enough the Transforming system of the RoG Tytan G70 has sensors to stop them from closing on fingers – talk about the WoW factor.
- The Asus Wireless Charger is a built in Qi Wireless charger for smart phones, smart phones that are compatible with the new Qi Inductive Charging technology at least. The ASUS RoG Tytan G70 also features a Enhanced SonicMaster audio giving truly immersive sound upto par with High End Sound cards. The same will also give auditory cues while ingame to enhance the game experience.
RoG Tytan G70 — The Cons
Now for a High-End Gaming Rig, these specs are quite modest. When you are paying in the thousands of Dollars, you should at least get the baddest component and configuration out there and with the RoG Tytan G70 Gaming PC this just isn’t the case.
- For starters the configuration is limited to a single GTX 780, getting Top Tier performance without SLI or Crossfire just isn’t happening.
- The overclock ‘Turbo’ feature of the ASUS RoG Tytan G70 is locked at two levels. Level one is an Overclock of 3.9 Ghz for each core (3.7 being the stock clock) and Level 2 is an Overclock of 4.1 ghz. Frankly speaking once again these are disappointing statistics with not even the 4.5 Ghz barrier being crossed. And keeping in mind the Titan cooling system involved this is especially a let down. And Over clocking manually would betray the whole point sine a pre built pc is always targeted toward the loaded beginner.
Pricing of the ASUS RoG Tytan G70
If the Previous ASUS RoG Tytan builds are any indication the pricing will be around $5000 for the top tier configurations of the ASUS RoG Tytan G70. However, there have been some reports that ASUS is contemplating to drop the price of the Prebuilt PC.
The Pre-Built Gaming market is already dominated by the likes of Alienware and Origin, but when dealing with ASUS and RoG you have specific standards that you expect to be met. Sadly however in Wccftech’s opinion the Asus RoG G70 Fails at just that. The Motherboards provided by ASUS RoG have always had a touch of the elite in them. Premium Components and RoG Only features, it is stuff like this which makes all Gamers drool over the same. Now RoG has been in the Pre-Built Market for quite some time, though this recent build has excellent aesthetics and gimmicks, in terms of a true gaming rig it fails to provide anything truly special. I guess most of our failed expectations come from the normal Republic of Gamers standards we see in their products — the Maximus VI Formula Mobo for example. Still it is quite a decent system if you have the money to buy it and one things for sure that Transforming system definitely doesn’t disappoint.

One of the key events of this week is the entry of the well-known manufacturer of motherboards for servers and workstations Supermicro into the M / B market for the mass consumer. The debut product of the American company was the C7Z87-OCE board based on the Intel Z87 chipset. Its official announcement will take place soon, but for now we bring to your attention fragments of the preview of the C7Z87-OCE model, published by the TweakTown web resource.
The product has a spartan design, in many ways reminiscent of Intel products. In addition to the LGA1150 connector, there are four slots for DDR3-1600/…/3000 RAM (maximum RAM is 32 GB), slots for expansion cards PCI Express 3.0 x16 (x8+x8, x8+x4+x4) and PCI- E 2.0 x1 (made as PCI-E x4).
(+)
Eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports are provided for storage connection. The socket is powered by a 6-channel circuit, using an EPS12V connector and potted Vitec inductors.
The PLX chip switch opens up the possibility of AMD 3-Way CrossFireX bundles. The board also soldered Intel I217 and I210AT gigabit network controllers, Realtek ALC1150 7.1-channel audio codec, USB 3.0 pin header and POST codes indicator.
Buttons with images of a sportbike, a racing car and a jet aircraft at the edge of the board correspond to overclocker profiles — two standard and one custom.
Supermicro C7Z87-OCE rear panel includes USB 2.0 (2), HDMI, DVI-D, D-Sub, Thunderbolt (10 Gb/s), USB 3.0 (4), pair RJ-45, optical S/PDIF and five Mini-Jacks.
Board resources are managed by AMI Aptio UEFI with a «default» shell that resembles the old BIOS. Read the TweakTown article for more details.

The popularity of multi-chip SLI and CrossFireX bundles has never been too high, including due to image twitching (micro-stuttering) formed by the combined efforts of two, three or four GPUs. The problem of large delays between frames was mostly solved by Nvidia, but for AMD, the process of eliminating the micro-stuttering effect does not go so smoothly.
The new driver Catalyst 13.8 beta should significantly reduce latency when there are multiple GPUs in the system. The algorithm is called AMD CrossFire Frame Pacing — it is enabled by default, but if there are problems with the game picture, it can be disabled or activated only for individual games. In addition, Catalyst 13.8 beta provides support for the OpenGL 4.3 API and an increase in frame rate (up to 7%) in the game Metro: Last Light.
A page describing the driver package is available on the AMD website. There you can also download Catalyst 13.8 beta in versions for desktop and mobile video cards.

There is not much time left before the release of the eighth generation of game consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it is not surprising that various rumors about new consoles appear almost every day. In particular, the British online edition of Eurogamer, citing sources in Microsoft, writes that the forthcoming product Xbox One has a 10-year uptime capability. In addition to reliability, which will be tested by years of operation, this indirectly indicates Microsoft’s plans to keep the Xbox One on the market as long as possible. By the way, the Xbox 360 will be 8 years old this year.
According to the source, the dimensions of the console will be approximately 34 x 26 x 8 cm, and power consumption in «heavy» games will reach 170-200 watts. The previous Xbox One release date of November 27th has been adjusted so UK customers will be able to purchase the console starting November 29th.November, and in the US and Canada, its sales will start on November 30th. In any case, Microsoft will have time to arrange shipments of Xbox One before the Catholic Christmas.

The saying “the first pancake is lumpy” in no way applies to the new Enthoo Primo case, Phanteks experts believe. On the contrary, marketers described the debut case of the international enterprise as «the best in the world. » Let’s see what is remarkable about this Full-Tower.
Phanteks Enthoo Primo has a simple design and is finished in black. Its linear dimensions are 600 (L) x 250 (W) x 650 (H), weight — 17.9 kg (20 kg per package). The body is made of steel, the front and top panels of Enthoo Primo are made of anodized aluminum (or have an aluminum finish).
Chassis elements are limited to a relatively small number of holes to give the structure rigidity and better sound insulation. Bays with individual drive trays are accessible by removing the right side panel. Behind the motherboard tray there is ample space (30mm) for cable management.
97.5 liter internal volume, huge even for Full-Tower cases, allows you to place a whole arsenal of components — a motherboard form factor SSI EEB, E-ATX, ATX, microATX, a maximum of eight PCI-E expansion cards up to 350 mm long (515mm excluding HDD cages), two ATX-compatible power supplies, five 5.25″ drives, six 3.5″ and six 2.5″ storage drives, multiple single and dual bay CBO heatsinks, and up to 16 CPU cooler height should not exceed 207 mm (i. e., almost all commercially available cooling systems are supported).0003 (+)
Among other things, the package includes five 140mm fans, two of which are LED-lit. Their rotation speed is 1200 rpm, productivity — 82.1 ft³ / min, noise level — 19 dBA.
Construction elements come with a proprietary 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. In the German online store caseking.de, the Phanteks Enthoo Primo costs €230.
It remains to add that the case is equipped with an I / O panel consisting of two USB 3.0 ports, a pair of USB 2.0, headphone and microphone jacks.

Warner Bros. announced that Batman: Arkham Origins will feature a multiplayer mode called Invisible Predator Online. A separate studio, Splash Damage, will be responsible for its development, on account of which shooters Brink, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. For the announcement of Batman: Arkham Origins, the developers have released a corresponding trailer, which can be viewed below.
Up to eight people can play simultaneously in multiplayer. Battles will take place in a 3x3x2 format. Three teams will converge on the battlefield — the Joker’s bandits, Bane’s mercenaries, as well as Batman and Robin fighting hand in hand. The minions of both villains will receive powerful weapons and advanced gadgets, allowing, for example, to see other players through walls. In addition, they will be able to call on the battlefield Bane or the Joker, who are able to single-handedly take down an entire squad. Unlike them, Batman and Robin will have to act as stealthily as possible, trying to attack opponents from the air or from the shadows.
Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to enjoy Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer — it will only be available in versions for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. But the owners of the Wii U were again bypassed — they will get only a single player campaign.

Did you miss the release of the new ROG TYTAN G30 motherboard that ASUS announced in June?
Don’t worry as the Taiwanese manufacturer has outdone itself by pairing last year’s TYTAN CG8890 convertible box with the G30’s key features of water cooling for the Core i7-4770K processor, naturally filled with water filters, one-touch start, and support for multiple monitors and surround sound.
A separate nice feature will be the replacement of the video card with a new version of the Nvidia GTX 780. Of course, the G70 system unit is equipped with Haswell, but this is not such an impressive option compared to activating the “Turbo Gear” mode on it: you just need to press the button and the system turns on, then the side and top panels slide back automatically to reveal 10 powerful fans. What will be the temperature inside, one can only guess …
If these miracles are not enough, then ASUS has one more option in store: wireless charging of any Qi-compatible devices. Only the price at which it will be possible to buy ASUS ROG TYTAN G70 is still unknown.
