AMD switchable graphics on Windows 10
I have an HP Pavilion dm3-2015er laptop.
In addition to the built-in Radeon HD4225, it has a Radeon HD5430 video chip.
The laptop came pre-installed with Windows 7 64-bit.
I purchased Windows 8 64-bit as part of the Fall 2012 Windows Upgrade offer.
I suffer with it. On the advice of members of the Microsoft community, a solution was found. Catalyst 12.1 driver and AMD 3GIO filter driver helped me. The graphics did not change, but the driver worked fine, the brightness changed, the video did not slow down. nine0003
I have now upgraded to Windows 10 and have a month to decide whether to upgrade back to 8.1 or not.

None of the drivers worked properly as a result. Youtube video slows down, brightness does not change.
If you manually uninstall all drivers and leave Basic (Microsoft), changing the screen brightness works.
