Known Issues
- System will TDR or BSOD when encoding with Power Director 11
- Driver installation might result in a black screen when installing on a
Dual AMD Radeon R9 295X configuration under Windows 8.

Catalyst packages. - AMD Eyefinity technology is designed to give gamers access to high
display resolutions. As pixel count grows, the graphics «horsepower»
required to drive the displays at a reasonable frame rate can increase
dramatically. Depending on the game and system configuration, users may
notice texture corruption and reduced frame rates when running games in
multi-monitor Eyefinity modes. - Windows Driver Model (WDM) drivers are no longer bundled in the AMD
Catalyst software suite. The WDM drivers install bundle can be downloaded

Installing the AMD Catalyst 14.
4 driver in Kubuntu
The official repository contains not the latest versions of drivers. This instruction is for those who want to have the latest drivers for Radeon cards in the system.
First, let’s find out which video card we have in the system by running the command:
lspci | grep VGA
If you have Radeon , then move on.
If you already have a driver installed from the repositories, then you must first remove it with the command:
sudo apt-get purge fglrx*
If you previously installed the driver from source, then you need to remove it with the command: reboot
New driver version added support for:
- Xorg 1.14
- System kernel 3.11
- glibc 2.2 or 2.3
To display version information about Xorg, kernel and glibc use:
Xorg -version
uname -r
getconf GNU_LIBC_VERSION
Download the driver to your home folder Downloads , open the Terminal and follow the instructions below.
Unpack:
cd ~/Downloads
unzip amd-catalyst*.zip
cd fglrx*
Install additional packages for 64-bit OS (with one command):
sudo apt-get install build-essential cdbs fakeroot dh-make debhelper debconf libstdc++6 dkms libqtgui4 wget execstack libelfg0 dh-modaliases xserver-xorg-dev libgcc1 lib32gcc1 libc6-i386
Install additional packages for 32-bit OS (in one command):
sudo apt-get install build-essential cdbs fakeroot dh-make debhelper debconf libstdc++6 dkms libqtgui4 wget execstack libelfg0 dh-modaliases xserver-xorg-dev libgcc1
Compile and install the driver:
sudo sh amd-driver-installer*.run —buildandinstallpkg
sudo apt-get install -f
Create a settings file for the video card:
sudo amdconfig —initial -f
And restart the computer:
sudo reboot
