i need to get a laptop but i’m confused as to the effectiveness of the processors. these are my 2 options:

[/list]A laptop with this config The 2GHz Turion 64 X2 TL-60 (Thats for the AMD) and dual-core 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 processor.

which should i go for?

Hi. More details would have been useful as regards brands and prices. Obviously not all laptop brands deliver the same quality.

If price is not an issue with you, go for the Core 2 Duo. I think it will give better performance. Its however likely to be more expensive.

One big pro for the core 2 duo is that its supposed to be more energy efficient. The biggest advantage the turion has is price. Its usually much cheaper. Its also more than sufficient for most people’s needs.
