AMD is gearing up to release four new Ryzen 2000-series processors based on a listing in ASRock’s CPU compatibility chart. The new Ryzen 5 2600E and Ryzen 7 2700E products feature a reduced TDP and are aimed at SFF and fanless systems, whereas the Ryzen 3 2300X, as well as the Ryzen 5 2500X parts, are designed for enthusiasts as well as overclockers on a budget.
The energy efficient Ryzen 5 2600E and the Ryzen 7 2700E will be AMD’s first Ryzen CPUs featuring a 45 W default TDP. Previously AMD has offered various Ryzen chips with configurable 45 – 65 W TDP that required system builders to activate the former profile for low power PCs, which in some cases could mean unpredictable performance. By contrast, the new products guarantee 2.8 – 3.1 GHz frequencies at 45 W, if ASRock’s CPU compatibility chart for the AB350M Pro4 motherboard is to be believed.
Just like their 65 W brethren, the energy efficient Ryzen 5 2600E and the Ryzen 7 2700E feature six and eight cores respectively (based on L2 capacity listed by ASRock). According to the motherboard maker, the Ryzen 5 2600E runs at 3.1 GHz, whereas the Ryzen 7 2700E runs at 2. 8 GHz default frequency. Meanwhile, the motherboard maker does not list boost clocks. In any case, an addition of two 45 W parts into the Ryzen 2000-series lineup is a big deal for PC makers and DIY enthusiasts who want to build a SFF or even a fanless system based on AMD’s latest CPUs.

AMD has not announced the four aforementioned chips officially, so the company will not comment on them. It is unclear when and whether the energy efficient parts are set to hit the channel market, but in the past AMD sold its «E» products alongside with full-fledged ones. What remains to be seen is of course pricing of the new chips as well as cooling systems that AMD intends to bundle with the new parts.

ASUS’ mission is to make human interaction with digital devices as simple and intuitive as possible. This is exactly what the latest development — the ErgoSense keyboard — contributes to. Our primary goal is user comfort, which is why its keys have perfectly adjusted travel depth and tactile feedback. Try the ErgoSense keyboard and you will feel that any work will be done easily and naturally.
Full size keyboard
ErgoSense keyboard keys are spaced with large spacing, similar to conventional external keyboards. The distance between their centers is 19.05 mm. This contributes to hand comfort and typing accuracy.
Concave keycaps
The keycaps have a smooth edge and a 0.2mm concave top that is shaped to fit your fingertips perfectly. Those themselves are sent to the very middle of each key, where pressing will be as accurate and pleasant as possible.
Deep key travel
Deep key travel (1.4 mm) means less force is required when typing, while the rubber pushers under the key caps provide perfectly balanced finger resistance for a distinct tactile response. This is important so that the user clearly feels the registration of pressing each key.

3DNews Technologies and IT market. News laptops and netbooks AMD Ryzen 9 processors4900H and Ryzen 7 4… The most interesting in the reviews
12/22/2019 [13:35], Konstantin Khodakovsky AMD’s 15W 8-core Ryzen 7 4700U hybrid processor recently flashed in a 3DMark test, and after that mentions of more powerful solutions were found. The Renoir APU family of processors will offer even more cores and threads in early 2020 than previously expected.
These are three Ryzen laptop solutions with 45W power consumption. Detailed information was published on the Mobile01 forums: they reported that the flagships will be Ryzen 94900H and Ryzen 7 4800H, each offering 8 cores and 16 threads. There are no other specs, but that’s double the cores and threads of the existing 3rd Gen Ryzen APU lineup. Even the Ryzen 7 3750H has 4 cores and 8 threads. Thus, the new AMD processors will be able to challenge the Core i9-9880H or even the Core i9-9980HK. APUs based on the Zen 2 architecture will reportedly have significantly lower power consumption than competing Intel solutions. Beyond Ryzen 94900H and Ryzen 7 4800H, the Ryzen 7 4800HS chip mentioned in the upcoming ASUS AS4 GA401IV laptop was also spotted on the Internet. This is a power-optimized version of the Ryzen 7 4800H, offering lower clock speeds, lower power consumption, and therefore lower performance. This 14-inch laptop will feature 16GB of DDR4 memory and will run Windows 10. With the Ryzen 4000 APU, laptop makers will be able to use fast memory up to 3200MHz in dual-channel mode, greatly improving overall performance. The ASUS laptop will cost €1,600 (approximately $1,800), although the final retail price may be different. Ryzen 7 4800H, Ryzen 7 4800HS, Ryzen 5 4600H and Ryzen 5 4600HS have been spotted in the same store in various ASUS laptop variants:
As with the previous generation, 45W mobile processors will challenge Intel Coffee Lake-H, while 15W mobile processors will be challenged by Comet Lake-U and Ice Lake-U. Desktop APUs will be released a little later, given the recent release of the Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3 3200G. The 4th generation lineup, codenamed Renoir, will support the FP6 (laptop) and AM4 (desktop) platforms. The current Ryzen laptop family uses the older FP5 pad. |
