I have experimented with overclocking a Celeron-566 (66×8.5) processor. As expected, raising the bus frequency to 100 MHz was completely painless. The temperature of the chip operating at 850 MHz (284 MHz, or 52% above nominal) did not exceed 50°C. Stability was not affected at all, but performance increased significantly.
