Those who have been paying attention to processor evolution should remember
the decision by Intel to migrate from Socket-7 to Slot-1 a couple years ago
when they released the Pentium II. Before that, their processors had been based
on socketed designs for several generations, and the change to slot implementation
was no doubt a big change for Intel.
Intel had their reasons in doing so, mainly because they wanted to move the
cache closer to the processor core without actually integrating it in the same
package (ala the Pentium Pro). Therefore they had to change to a slot design,
where they would be able to include the L2 cache external to the die but still
on the same PCB.
Slot-1 looked to be the way of the future for Intel CPU’s. Unfortunately for
those users who bought Slot-1 motherboards with those thoughts in mind, the
advent of on-die L2 cache with the Celeron and Coppermine CPU’s signaled a move
back to socketed designs due to their lower manufacturing costs.For those who
had bought a Slot-1 motherboard and CPU that meant they would not be able to
upgrade anymore without getting a new motherboard and CPU.
Things were not as bad, since manufacturers immediately came up with Slotkets,
which allows users to use Socket-370 processors on Slot-1 motherboards. Unfortunately,
those with Slot-1 CPUs would not be able to upgrade to newer chipsets and/or
motherboards without getting a new processor once Slot-1 motherboard designs
were phased out.
It didn’t take long for that to happen — up until now, all
i815(E) boards were Socket-370 based.
Here’s where ABIT comes into play with the SH6, an Intel i815E motherboard
with Slot-1 implementation. In terms of the design, the SH6 is very similar
to the SA6R, Since ABIT had to redesign CPU
section of the board, the question remains of whether or not they can maintain
the same level of stability and performance. Read on to find out if this board
can serve as a bridge between your Slot-1 CPU and your next Socket processor.

Just like the ABIT SA6R, the SH6 is using
quite a hefty PCB — about 12 by 9.5 inches. We will talk more about the reasons
for this later on, but for now you can see that there are traces all over the
place, so ABIT is not wasting any PCB space at all.
The general layout of the board is excellent. ABIT is always known as a manufacturer
focused on hardware enthusiasts, and the SH6 is definitely another indication
of ABIT’s excellent work. The area around the CPU slot is clean without any
major obstacles or connectors. The power supply connector, just like other recent
ABIT motherboards, is located on the right edge of the motherboard, so the power
supply cables will not have to run over the CPU.
The DIMM slots are located around 3.5 inches from the CPU slot, so you should
have no problem using larger HSF units.
The IDE connectors and the floppy connectors
are located in the front of the DIMM slots, allowing all but one PCI slot to
be full length.
As you can see from the following pictures, when the motherboard and CPU are
installed into the case, there is a lot of space around the processor (notice
that the cables are not even carefully bundled here) so that the HSF can effectively
cool down the processor. All the major cables, including the power supply cables,
IDE and floppy cables, are packed on the front of the motherboard, so they will
not block the expansion cards on the left.

But now I would like to talk about the KEYA i6 smart watch, which looks a little like a Montana, but has a significantly different filling.

By the way, one of the copies of which I had. If you remember, many boasted of them, because this is one of the first mass-produced electronic watches that conquered the USSR market and displaced Electronics 5 from the shelves. But now it’s not about them, but about KEYA i6, which have only a slightly repeatable case from the “Montana”, but the filling has stepped forward significantly.

On the back, the main technical data showing the various functions performed. The watch itself is placed in a plastic box that protects during delivery. Here is a brief instruction and a wire with a magnetic pad.
The wire with the magnetic pad is connected in a single position, so it will not be possible to confuse. The contact group is located on the back of the watch. The wire is short for easy placement, so only close to the power source. The wire sheath is plastic.
The manual is expectedly only in English, but describes in some detail the moments of setting up, managing and connecting to the mobile application. For convenience, a similar electronic version can be used in the application.
Appearance
Outwardly, they resemble the watch mentioned above, but with minor differences. Here, the color screen and the number of control buttons are different, and I would also like a touch screen. But it is not here, still used to touch screens, and so, who is already tired of them, then this watch is for you.
The metal bracelets are gold-plated in «XX» carats, but unfortunately they are not. Although the coverage is quite good, I did not find any spots or peeling of the coating after a week of use.
Adjusting the length of the bracelets is carried out by removing extra links, and which ones are subject to removal can be seen from the back.
Folding lock with an additional lock, so it does not unfold spontaneously.
Octagonal watch case. On the front part it is covered with glass indicating the function performed for each button. The screen is visually the same size, but already in color. You can’t count on an oleophobic coating, so all prints are visible.
In fact, there is only 1 button on the watch, and the remaining 2 are props. It is located on the right side and is controlled by short and long presses.

Interface
The screen resolution is 80*160, so the picture is a bit like an 8-bit version of the ZX Spectrum home computer. But in part, it even brings some kind of nostalgia. Since there is no touch screen and only a single button is allocated for control, the interface is quite simple and is a menu with additional submenus.
A short press skips forward, and a long press to confirm the action.
Actually there are quite a lot of screen skins, but you can change them only from the application. By default, a screen is available that displays the clock, date and time, battery level, and step count.
If you switch menu items, you will see: pedometer, distance traveled, calories burned, sleep duration, reading received notifications (configurable in the application), health (pulse and pressure), sports (walking, running, cycling), timer and stopwatch, player control on a smartphone, miscellaneous (information about the firmware, reboot, QR code of the application, search for a smartphone). Management is really not difficult, but you need to get used to it.
Mobile application
It was a surprise that not everyone was already fed up with Da Fit, but its analogue FitCloudPro, which has similar capabilities. And as practice has shown, he is quite coping with the duties assigned to him.
After the standard registration, you will need to enter information about yourself and the desired results.
Next, we get to the window where 3 items are available:
In the «device» menu item, you need to connect the gadget to your smartphone. To do this, activate the wireless connection and search. There are also menu items that allow you to configure notifications that will be displayed on the watch screen (by the way, you can read them, but the screen size includes up to 3 lines), screen brightness and much more.
The first window collects all the data polled during the operation of the clock. Here: pulse, distance, steps and more. To start and view in detail, you need to go to the corresponding item.
In the third paragraph, the user profile settings and some settings are made to respond to the skins of the watch, or you can link to Google Fit, which is not often found in other applications.
In general, the pulse and saturation measurements are within the normal range, but other measurements are questionable.
Conclusions
The Keya i6 smart watch has an attractive recognizable design, but, in addition, it is functional and, thanks to the small screen, can work up to 10 days without recharging. Although much depends on the operating conditions. They perform all the main functions laid down perfectly, except for the measurement of pressure.
