Intel Celeron G540T Processor Overview
The processor was released in 2011 for motherboards with Socket LGA 1155. The model belongs to the office productivity CPU in the line of the second generation of Intel Core processors, has 2 cores with a frequency of 2100 MHz and a heat dissipation of 35W, which will require a sparing cooling system (up to 65W ). The Intel Celeron G540T is made according to the technological standards of 32nm and carries the Sandy Bridge architecture. To date, this processor is not able to provide comfortable gaming performance: even in older GTA V and Tomb Raider 2013 projects, in complex scenes (with a lot of moving objects, explosions and other special effects), the frame rate per second will drop to 15-20, the process in this case, it will be accompanied by “cutters” (stops of the picture) and jerks. This CPU will provide comfortable work in Windows 7-10 operating systems, cope with office tasks, surf the Internet without any problems. 9Intel Celeron G540T Comparative Performance Table :

The Celeron G540T belongs to a series of desktop microprocessors from Intel, developed on the Sandy Bridge microarchitecture. Began to appear on sale since September 4, 2011.
Works with DDR3-1066 memory types in 2-channel mode, with a bandwidth of 17 Gb / s. The processor supports a maximum of 32 GB of RAM.
The processor has PCI support, giving you the ability to install all sorts of devices. The integrated PCI bus controller version 2.0 contains 16 lanes.
The temperature limit in the load reaches 65 degrees. It integrates HD Graphics (Sandy Bridge). The processor needs effective cooling, since its thermal power is 35 watts. The technical process is 32 nanometers — the total number of transistors is 504 million. The manufacturer claims that the bus power will be 5 GT / s DMI. Intel Celeron G540T is designed for boards on LGA1155 connectors.
The clock frequency of 2100 megahertz is enough for the most important tasks assigned to the PC.
Inexpensive processor released in 2012, perfect for office tasks, work and study.
Competitors and analogues
Among analogs of processors from AMD we should mention Athlon II X3 415 on Rana microarchitecture, A4 PRO-7300B of 2014, A4-6320 on Richland microarchitecture, model 420 on socket AM3, Socket AM2+ from the line Athlon II processors, model 6400K from the A6 processor series, here you can add the slightly older Athlon II X3 420e. On the LGA1155 socket, among the competitors, we note models from Intel: Pentium G2120 on the Ivy Bridge microarchitecture, Core i3-2100T 2011, model 2120T LGA1155 from the Core i3 line, Pentium G2130 2013, model G2120T LGA1155 among the Pentium processor family, model G2030 on the LGA1155 socket from the Pentium series.
Processors that have the same graphics as the Celeron G540T — slightly earlier Pentium G860, Pentium G850 2011 release, Pentium G632 2011 release, Pentium G640 2012 release, Pentium G645 2012 release, G840 model on LGA1155 socket among the line Pentium processors. A productive processor with its own graphics HD Graphics (Sandy Bridge) — consider the Pentium G860. The closest models from Intel are Pentium G620, Pentium G640, Celeron G555, Celeron G550T, Pentium G632, Celeron G530T, Pentium G870, Pentium G630, Pentium G620T, Celeron G530. They run on the same LGA1155 socket and the same Sandy Bridge microarchitecture. If we compare the entire Core line, then the G540T holds 81 positions among them.
