i installed the all in one package

it works perfectly fine

but still i miss the support of .mkv .m2v (matroska) files i would be thankfull if u’d guys add the support in this codec pack and that it runs properly all together. cuz i’ve had some bad experience installing the all in one codec pack along with matroska-packs then sometimes my videoplayer crashes or i get alot of cpu action and my pc gets laggy

This product works the best, Finally allows me to watch movies that I could’nt see, but only hear thanks and will for sure tell others about this product.

I want to uninstall this, but can’t.

Everytime I do, it tells me theres shared files left and whether I want to remove them. I tried both options (yes and no) and after each one, when trying to install any other codecs it says the certain files (the shared ones) cannot be accesed or something along those lines.

everyone else: there are much codec packs. but i do prefer this one, still.

had no single problem arised from the pack itself.

All I know is, this codec pack has finally fixed the chipmunks and super fast video at cnn and msnbc video links in IE using WMP9. I’ve spent months, off and on, trying to figure this one out, including upgrading to WMP 10 and 11 and trying just about every «manual» adjustments I found on the web.

It also fixed cnn in Firefox. The video window came up but just did nothing. I had managed to get msnbc to work in FF but nothing I tried would get cnn to work. Until now.

I do get a false positive HTML/Feebs.Gen warning with AntiVir in IE ONLY at cnn ONLY when the video starts to load, but since I primarily use FF, I can put up with that inconvenience. AntiVir said they’d fixed that, but the fix isn’t working for me.

So far everything else on my system is working normally. Judging from all the negative comments, maybe I’ve just been lucky. But I don’t have a lot of other codec packs, separate media players, etc installed to cause conflicts. That might be the difference.

I had no problem installing this pack on XP nor have I had any problem on Vista.

I’ve used this since 2 years ago and don’t have any problem (Windows XP Pro, FR version, without any codec installed before AllInOne). However, now I see many negative comments here, I decide to look for others «all in one» pack. Before, this package was my only choice, and I was pleased with it.

There seems to be alot of negative comments. This program gave my system no trouble but opening a video file seems to take about 10 seconds longer than it should. I blame myself for not reading instructions or removing old codecs.

I highly recommend NOT installing this codec pack. The big reason is because it HAS NO UNINSTALL. This is a very big deal. It seems people have about a 50/50 success rate, with the unlucky half experiencing problems that require reinstalling Windows. If you choose to install this, make sure you have a way of rolling back your Windows installation — unlike me. 🙁

NOT recommeded at all it trashed my XP copy, but if you install it & after it (only if it is the first restart) you restarted your computer then used the option F8 >>restore last good known config.
