Benchmark wise it is pretty close to the rtx 2070 which is a fantastic card for 1440p so I would say the gtx 1080 is still a great gaming card in 2020. Probably fine for 1080p gaming for five years to be honest. 1440p gaming for several more years as long as you don’t need all the bells and whistles turned on.
