The balance of P-cores and E-cores is different for each intel processor model. Only the P-cores support hyperthreading, so the i9 model comes with 16 cores and 24 threads, the i7 model comes with 12 cores and 20 threads, and so on. Chips without the hybrid architecture come exclusively with P-cores, which support hyperthreading.
Frequency-wise, it’s hard to lock Alder Lake down. The P-cores and E-cores run at different frequencies, so there isn’t a single number to reference. With Intel’s updated Extreme Overclocking Utility (XTU), you can tweak the P-cores and E-cores independently to dial in an overclock.
The non-K models aren’t unlocked for overclocking, though some users have managed to bypass protective measures to overclock them anyway. Although Intel says not to overclock non-K models, it can result in as much as a 33% increase in performance for midrange processors.

Motherboard Requirements for LGA 1200 Processors
Motherboards for Intel processors are made with chipsets provided by Intel. Each chipset offers a unique set of capabilities. However, motherboards must explicitly support features and capabilities for you to use them. Verify that a motherboard supports the features and capabilities you desire.
For Intel’s 10th and 11th generation processors, you’ll need a motherboard with an LGA 1200 socket and a compatible 400-series or 500-series chipset. The 11th generation Core processors are not compatible with the B460 or h510 chipsets.
For Pentium Gold G6xxx processors, you’ll need a motherboard with any 400 or 500-series chipset except for the W580 or W480.
For Celeron G59x5 processors, you’ll need a motherboard with any 400 or 500-series chipset except for the W580 or W480. Celeron G59x0 processors are only compatible with motherboards using the Z490, h570, B460, Q470, or h510 chipsets.

Locked Intel CPUs may come with a stock CPU cooler. These CPU models do not have a «K» in the name. While stock coolers will prevent your CPU from overheating, your CPU will throttle its performance during games and other intensive tasks. Higher TDP coolers will keep your CPU at turbo speeds for longer durations. Stock coolers are often quite loud at their maximum speed.

The LGA 1200 platform replaced the LGA 1151v2 in 2019, and will be replaced by the LGA 1700 in 2021. In total, two generations of processors have been released for the LGA 1200 socket:
1) More modern, built on the 14nm Rocket Lake architecture;
2) Older, built on 14nm Comet Lake architecture.
CPUMark — CPU performance rating in points. It can be used to roughly compare the capabilities of different models. The rating is the same for all generations of AMD and Intel processors.

Detailed lists — tables of all LGA 1200 socket processors by generation and notes.
10th and 11th generation Intel Core processors are based on 14nm process technology and work with DDR4 RAM. The LGA1200 socket is not compatible with previous motherboards and processors.
——————————————————————————————————————————————— —
K versions — provide greater performance due to increased clock frequencies.
F versions — do not have an integrated graphics core and require a discrete graphics card.
KF versions — provide more performance due to increased clock speeds, do not have an integrated graphics core and require a discrete graphics card.
T versions — provide increased energy efficiency and fit into a 35W heat pack.
