Asus launches’PCE-C2500 LAN card’ with Realtek RTL8125AG chipset

Asus Korea announced on April 21 that it will release’PCE-C2500 LAN Card’ that provides a high-speed network environment with Realtek RTL8125AG chipset.

The PCE-C2500 LAN card to be released this time provides a transfer speed 2.5 times faster than standard gigabit through the PC-E interface, helping to solve the ping problem in which other players appear, disappear and run around due to latency in fast-deployed FPS games. It would be helpful, the company explained.

In addition, it is equipped with a single standard RJ-45 port, so it can be improved to 2.5G Internet speed by simply connecting a wired cable, and it can increase network utilization efficiency by interworking with routers and NAS that support 2.5G speed.

PCE-C2500 LAN Card, which can continuously enjoy real-time videos played in 4K with 2. 5G speed and shorten the internal data storage time in the NAS system, is a consumer’s untouched era amid the pandemic caused by Corona 19. It seems to be a product that can further enhance the quality of life.

In addition, it supports three-level network speeds such as 2.5G, 1G, and 100M for backward compatibility, so you can stay connected to your existing network infrastructure, and an LED indicator that automatically detects the operating speed allows you to see your connection at a glance have.

In addition, the Game Boost Quality of Service (QoS) program is installed, allowing users to prioritize all programs running at the same time with one click, allowing them to enjoy the desired game faster.

PCE-C2500 LAN Card is officially distributed by EM Tech I&C and can be purchased at major computer retailers and online retailers nationwide. EM Tech I&C Customer Support Center provides technical support and a 3-year free warranty program.

The official launch price of the PCE-C2500 LAN card is 44,000 won, but it can be purchased at a 30% discounted price of 31,000 won in limited quantities when purchased at Naver Smart Store. [email protected]

ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 Review

What is ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9?

The ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 sits at the center of the Z390 motherboard line — and it’s also the more affordable model of the two midrange options. The rival Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) is £286.

ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 — Design and Features sterling really means it has an enticing spec sheet with lots of high quality features.

For example, networking is an area that has become hugely popular in more affordable motherboards. ASRock has Ethernet that operates at speeds up to 2.5Gbps. It is driven by the new Realtek Dragon RTL8125AG chip and is one of the first boards on the market to offer this feature.

There are also two ports that support Gigabit Ethernet, and ASRock also has 802.11ac dual-band wireless and Bluetooth 5.0.

This is better than the competing Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) which costs £286 but only includes standard Gigabit Ethernet along with 802.11ac wireless and Bluetooth 5.0.

ASRock has a great set of networking features, and the rear I/Os are impressive elsewhere. It has seven powerful full-size USB 3.1 ports, with three of them supporting the faster Gen 2 protocol. There is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C connector, five audio jacks, a PS/2 connector, and a Clear CMOS button. It’s packed and very versatile, with more faster USB ports than Asus.

The board itself also has many functions. All three PCI-E x16 slots have steel supports, while the main slot has a full 16x bandwidth. Two slots can run at 8x or three can run at 8x/4x/4x.

This matches this board’s support for both AMD and Nvidia quad-core graphics — an admittedly niche feature, but one that could be a boon for some hardcore gamers, miners, or workers who need more GPU power.

You only get two PCI-E x1 slots, but that should be enough for most rigs. They are shortened from the usual three because ASRock installed three M.2 slots on this board. It’s another M.2 slot than Asus has, and arguably makes better use of limited PCI bandwidth than more PCI-E x1 slots.

This is great for storage, and the board also has eight SATA connectors — two more than Asus.

Elsewhere, Realtek’s regular ALC1220 audio chipset gets support from Sound Blaster Cinema, and ASRock also has better chokes and capacitors than on more affordable boards.

Has two built-in USB 3.1 Gen 1 and one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C; four memory slots support the standard 64GB of DDR4 memory rather than the more ambitious 128GB. You get eight fan headers. There is also an optional four-pin CPU power connector that can provide more overclocking options, and four connectors for adding synchronized lighting to your PC.

These are all the usual extras when it comes to onboard ports and jacks, and ASRock also includes power and reset buttons along with a POST display — more hardware than I expected to find on a gaming board at this price.

This is a great spec, although it must be said that ASRock is not very good. Its heatsinks are plain and the PCB is slashed with red and white corner sections that look dated. You get RGB LEDs in the heatsinks and in the sound circuitry, but it’s nothing special. Asus looks much better with dark metal and RGB LEDs.

ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9 — Performance

ASRock has a great feature set, but it’s inconsistent in terms of performance.

His Cinebench scores of 204 and 1479 are no better than what I’ve recorded on £100 less budget boards, while his Geekbench scores of 5879 and 28930 rank similarly on the overall scorecard. Asus was consistently faster.

Motherboard tests always result in small differences between motherboards, and most users are unlikely to notice a difference in performance between products. However, this is still disappointing.

ASRock performed well with memory, but NVMe and SATA memory tests showed that the board performed particularly poorly in reading files with mediocre write speeds.

Its gaming results were also average — both in 3DMark and in real gaming tests, ASRock was significantly slower than Asus.

Why Buy ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 9?

Disappointing test results make it hard to recommend this board.

It’s a particular shame because ASRock is packed with features — it offers stellar networking, plenty of ports, great PCI-E x16 options, and more memory than the competing Asus product.

If you need a board with this type of network influence or any of its other features, then it will certainly be worth the money, especially if you want to take a small performance hit to put these features into your PC.

However, Asus has more speed and features to satisfy most system builders, so I would choose this board.

judgment

The ASRock Z390 Phantom 9 Gaming is packed with features, including fast networking, plenty of rear I/O connections, and plenty of storage options. However, performance suffers and you can almost certainly find a faster board with these features if you look elsewhere.
