Ryzen 5 2600
- The Ryzen 5 2600 has higher Level 2 Cache. Data/instructions which have to be processed can be loaded from the fast L2 and the CPU does not have to wait for the very slow DDR RAM
- The Ryzen 5 2600 has higher Level 3 Cache. This is useful when you have substantial multiprocessing workloads, many computationally intense simultaneous processes. More likely on a server, less on a personally used computer for interactive desktop workloads.
- The Ryzen 5 2600 has more threads. Larger programs are divided into threads (small sections) so that the processor can execute them simultaneously to get faster execution.
- The Ryzen 5 2600 is more power efficient and generates less heat.
- The Ryzen 5 2600 has a smaller process size. The faster a transistor can toggle on and off, the faster it can do work. And transistors that turn on and off with less energy are more efficient, reducing the operating power, or “dynamic power consumption,” required by a processor.
i5-8600K
- For some games, a cpu with a higher clock speed, or in a technical name IPC (Instructions per clock), has better results than other CPU’s with higher core count and lower core speed.
- The i5-8600K has a higher turbo clock boost. Turbo Boost is a CPU feature that will run CPU clock speed faster than its base clock, if certain conditions are present. It will enable older software that runs on fewer cores, to perform better on newer hardware. Since games are software too, it is also applicable to them.

First of all i have lg 25″ monitor which is ultrawide with 2560×1080 resolution. Graphics card is RTX 2070 or might be GTX 1070 TI.
Motherboard of choice Asus B450-F for AMD
Asus Z370-F for intel
16gb gskill tridentZ RGB
I will be doing gaming and live streaming on youtube, likely 720p
And also be doing Video Editing for youtube using premiere pro and using Photoshop for editing
Please suggest which CPU to purchase ryzen 2600 or i5 8600, i want solid 60FPS+ on all games ultra settings while streaming and smooth stream.
Please tell me Ryzen 5 2600 OR I5 8600K or should i wait for new Intel CPU’s

For the gaming part of your question, the i5-8600K@5. 0 will be the best performer. Not too different from the i7-8700K.
For streaming, you will need sufficient threads and enough ram to hold them all. 16gb of ram may well not be enough for maximum performance.
It turns out that for premier pro, a fast core speed is important.

Since you seem to have a good budget and can wait a bit, I would be looking at the upcoming 9th gen intel processors.
In particular, the i7-9700K, a 8 core processor.

Thats not a good comparison IMO. Price wise, by the time you buy a cooler for the 8600k you are in the 2700x price range. For gaming and, streaming tge 2700x is vastly superior with the 8 cores and 16 threads.

For streaming, the Ryzen 2600 is better because of 6c/12t vs. the 8600K 6c/6t. Even better would be I7-8700K for 6c/12t and higher clock speed or Ryzen 2700x for 8c/16t. You can wait for the new Intel but you would likely need the I9-9900K for better performance while streaming than the 2700X.
