[Edit/Modify Cache Info]

Cache Organization

Cache is a hardware component containing a relatively small and extremely fast memory designed to speed up the performance of a CPU by preparing ahead of time the data it needs to read from a relatively slower medium such as main memory.

The organization and amount of cache can have a large impact on the performance, power consumption, die size, and consequently cost of the IC.

Cache is specified by its size, number of sets, associativity, block size, sub-block size, and fetch and write-back policies.

Gaming Performance of AMD Ryzen 3 3200u Processor

Since this processor is basically an APU (with powerful integrated Vega 3 GPU), gaming can be done on any laptop that has this processor to some extent. Sure, most recent AAA titles can not be played with this processor, they are more susceptible to many advanced processors like Threadripper Series, which comes with AMD Machine Learning technology.

But many old and most of the recent games can be played with lower resolution settings and hardware virtualization turned off. Below are some of the modern titles that can be played with this processor :

How do AMD and i3 processor differ?

You cant compare AMD with i3, AMD is the manufacturer of processors and i3 is the processor lineup from Intel (another processor manufacturer). You cant compare between a manufacturer and the lineup. You have to mention the name of the processors.

Which one should I take, Ryzen 3 3200G or i3 9100?

If you want to build your pc only for performance, then go with i3 9100 with a discrete graphics card. If your budget is low, then go with Ryzen 3 3200G. It comes with a powerful vega 8 integrated GPU, so a discrete graphics card is not required. You can play almost every modern day games with a low setting.

Is Ryzen better than Intel?

Ryzen will give you more value for money compared to the Intel. But Intel can give you slightly better performance. So according to your budget, you have to decide.

Why is AMD 3200U only slightly better than 2200U?

3200U base clock is 2. 6 GHz and turbo clock is 3.3 GHz, 2200U base clock is 2.5 GHz and turbo clock is 3.15 GHz. So 3200U can give 1% better performance.

Which processor is better, Intel i5 or Ryzen 3 2200G?

Intel i5 is not a particular processor, its the lineup from Intel. Ryzen 3 2200G is a particular processor. So you cant compare between a lineup and a particular processor.
