AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 2700 Processor Overview
The AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 2700 is a desktop processor based on the Pinnacle Ridge architecture. Octa-core, high-performance processor for work, entertainment and gaming. The entry to the processor market took place on September 6, 2018.
The processor supports PCI, which makes it possible to mount all kinds of devices. The installed adapter PCI configuration 3.0 provides 24 lanes. The PCI Express 3.0 bus makes it possible to connect SSDs (Solid State Drives) NVM Express through the appropriate slot in the motherboard of the PCI card, U.2 or M.2.
Supports DDR4-2933 memory types in 2-channel mode with a bandwidth of 46.933 Gb/s. The maximum amount of memory in this case will be a maximum of 64 GB.
With a process of 12 nanometers, the total number of transistors is 4940 million. It needs a high-performance cooling system because its power reaches 65 watts. There is the possibility of regular overclocking, since it has an unlocked multiplier. The system bus data rate will be 4 × 8 GT/s. The processor temperature in operation can reach up to 95 degrees. It is placed on motherboards with Socket AM4 socket.
The frequency of 3200 MHz per core is enough for the main tasks assigned to the PC. In addition, the new auto-overclocking mode will provide maximum processor power by significantly raising the base frequency to 4100 MHz.
A sufficiently powerful model at the time of release in 2018, which can guarantee the best gaming experience. It has not lost its relevance even today.
Competitors and analogues
Among the competing processors from Intel, it should be noted a slightly newer model of the Core i9-9900KF processor, model 9900K among the Core i9 line, Xeon W-1270P on the Comet Lake microarchitecture, Core i7-10700K of 2020, model 9900KS on the socket LGA1151- 2 from the Core i9 family, as well as the Core i7-10700KF, which appeared 2 years later. On the Socket AM4 socket, among the rivals, AMD models can be noted: Ryzen 7 5700G on the Cezanne microarchitecture, model 3700X on the Socket AM4 socket among the Ryzen 7 processor family, Ryzen 7 PRO 3700 on the Matisse microarchitecture, model 5800 among the Ryzen 7 series, Ryzen 7 3800XT, released a little later, the Ryzen 7 3800X on the Matisse architecture.
