Turion 64 X2 — Wikiwand
The Turion 64 X2 is a dual-core evolution of the Turion 64 microprocessor. It is based on the same S1 socket and supports DDR2 memory. The range is updated slightly (once a year), which is an advantage for its rival Intel, whose Centrino platform benefits from a better refresh rate (6 months) and, above all, from a wider marketing campaign.

Griffin (65 nm)
Generation Griffin initiates a major update to its line of processors dedicated to notebooks, one of the novelties of which is the introduction of the Turion Ultra, which represents the pinnacle of this line. It is still based on the K8 architecture but uses HyperTransport 3.0 and DDR2 -800 MHz. In addition, HyperTransport will be dynamic: its frequency will change to limit consumption.
