. Since the processor of the processor is cut, it is not worth it. Having a motherboard with a server chipset, you can try to slightly overclock the Xeon e5 2640. You will need the setFSB program and a small instruction for this.

Cooling
The processor doesn’t make any special demands on the cooling system, in normal use you can limit yourself to a simple horizontal cooler with a copper heel. Nevertheless, if long-term high loads are planned, it is still better to give preference to inexpensive tower coolers. Models with 2-3 heat pipes will be enough to keep the temperature far from critical. More powerful cooling systems can be taken if you plan to upgrade to hotter CPUs in the future.

Xeon E5 2640 can be considered the most budget processor in the line, suitable for games. Due to not the lowest frequency, in many games the stone bypasses the eight-core xeon e5 2650 and 2660.
. In more modern projects, performance is far from enough everywhere, the clock frequency is not too high.
