Its purpose is to promote understanding and cooperation among these national organizations so that they work together and support each other in their efforts to promote research, improve education, and expand the uses of mathematics.

CBMS Research Advisory Group

The goal of the CBMS Research Advisory Group is to inform the policy decisions that affect mathematics education.

On August 26, 2017, representatives of CBMS societies and other organizations met in a workshop co-sponsored by TPSE for the inaugural meeting of the Research Advisory Group.
