The quickest way to soothe your crying BB in Death Stranding.

If you recently started playing Need for Speed Heat, you may be wondering how to save the game. Are there manual save options, or does the game rely on automatic saves? To ease your anxiety regarding saves, we’ve put together a quick guide on how to save in Need for Speed Heat.

Need for Speed Heat uses automatic saves to keep track of your progress.

  • To save in Need for Speed Heat, you’ll need to trigger an autosave.
  • Autosaves occur regularly in Need for Speed Heat, though you can “manually” trigger one by returning to your garage or using fast travel to a safe house location.

Need for Speed Heat exclusively uses automatic saves. Because of this, you won’t be able to manually save your game before you close out of it. Keeping this in mind, there are a few surefire ways to trigger an autosave in Need for Speed Heat. You’ll know the game is autosaving as an NFS logo appears at the bottom right corner of your screen.

When the logo disappears, the game has finished autosaving. To trigger an autosave, you can do things like visit your garage, use fast travel, complete a race, participate in an event, and so on. Just about everything you do will trigger an autosave at some point, though the quickest way is usually by fast travel to a safe house, or returning to your garage.

After all, you won’t have to complete an entire event just to autosave if you decide you’re done for the night. Simply return to your garage or fast travel to a safe house, then look for the autosave logo at the bottom right corner. Once the logo disappears, you’ll know your game has been properly saved up to that point.

Solved: How Do You SAVE GAMEPLAY In NFS HEAT?!

January 2020

I quit the game, went back in and it almost put me back at the beginning of the story solo mode. I mean….REALLY?! is this the state the game was released in?! and where are the NPC cars?! the city mimics Miami but hardly anyone is on the street!

3 people had this problem.

January 2020

@jimmarshall Go back to your garage. it’s poorly explained,as so much of the game is.
don’t worry though, the whole storyline will take less than 4 or 5 hours to complete

January 2020

@Icarium81 thank you so much. like you said I had no idea at all. a $60 beta test kit.

February 2020

so what you are telling me basically is that you have too complete the story line before it saves

February 2020

@Smokey2662 Are you «special»??? You just need to go back to your garage for a guaranteed save, I’m pretty sure it also sort of saves your «days» progress after each race, but which can be wiped out if you get busted or turn your system off

February 2020

no I’m not special! I’ve played NFS Heat for 68 Hours and all three times that I’ve left the game and went back in it began from the begging and it did show the logo on the bottom right corner of my screen that is supposed to mean its saving?

February 2020

look again I have to start over Why?????

February 2020

@Smokey2662 Look again???? Your only previous post here was that you «need to finish the storyline to save».
Perhaps you should take your great intelligence and peruse the forums and see the HUNDREDS of threads about the games issues… it’s more than a few issues…. many of them involving save game problems/data sync

February 2020

then why did you ask me if I’m special when you just could’ve told me there is saving issues? Your attitude really stinks I’m just asking nicely for help!!!

January 2022

if you see the light , it does not mean that others see it too…… can you help in explain how the game can save the progress   and forget the garage, is the same….. stay well and safe
