Brief summary of the problem:
My Radeon RX 5700 which is supposed to support DSC doesn’t expose my monitor’s 4k 144hz mode.
The most I can get is 120Hz which doesn’t use DSC.
Hardware description:
- CPU: Threadripper 2990WX
- GPU: Radeon RX 5700
- System Memory: 64GB
- Display(s): Asus ROG Swift PG43UQ
- Type of Diplay Connection: Displayport 1.

- Distro name and Version: Ubuntu 21.04 pre-release
- Kernel version: 5.11.0
How to reproduce the issue:
Install yourself a monitor that uses DSC, and a Radeon GPU that supports DSC.
See that DSC modes aren’t exposed.
4k 144Hz, 1080p 360hz, either should work.
I’m testing on an Asus ROG Swift PG43UQ though.
