Help people, I ran into such a problem: I decided to change the thermal pads and thermal paste for rx 580 sapphire 8gb, disassembled, cleaned, removed the old ones, lubricated everything, installed new ones, put them in the rig (served 2 cards) and when the cards are loaded, both start to cut coolers for 100 by themselves, in hive costs 60%
I turned it off, disassembled it and everything seemed to be ok, then I looked (I took pictures as it was) and there was thermal paste on the radiator itself, but I didn’t have thermal paste after contact with the board, I added thermal paste to the chip and another to the radiator. I turn it on, the coolers stopped working 100% themselves, but the card also connects for a few seconds and then just turns off (but continues to work and even warm).
I’m thinking, maybe try setting thermal pads to 0.5 (set 1), need the opinion of experts
Old pads are thinner, but they changed hell knows when (I’m not the first owner)
maybe someone has come across or knows

There are native 0.75mm and 1.25mm. you won’t find such. You need to take 1mm and 1.5mm and roll them out. Memory and VRM are different pads!!! And you slapped the same everywhere

the plan was just to change the thermal paste and the rubber bands fell into disrepair when the card was opened. the thermal paste has dried up so I think its replacement is the right step.
