Table of Contents
Even though both cater to the same market and sell the same products, their monitors are very different from each other. This difference lies in their design, features, functionality, and much more.
Dell Monitor vs BenQ Monitor
The main difference between Dell monitor and BenQ monitor is that Dell monitors feature an LCD screen that comes in different models including low-end (S and E models), professional (P models), ultrasharp (U models) and ultrasharp with premier colour (UP models) whereas BenQ monitors feature a TFT LCD screen which essentially features a thin-film-transistor technology.
Earlier, Dell used to manufacture CRT monitors, but they were discontinued due to being an outdated technology.
They were replaced by LCD monitors since that was the more widespread technology option. These monitors come in a variety of models, each catering to a different need of the customer.
They even feature different resolutions ranging from 1024×768 to 4K.
Meanwhile, BenQ is relatively newer in the LCD monitor market. It features a wide variety of monitors as well, for different purposes.
They feature a resolution ranging from 4K, QHD to FHD. These monitors even have additional features such as eye protection, Adobe RGB standard, and HDR.
However, BenQ monitors are not as good in terms of functionality as compared to Dell monitors.

What is Dell Monitor?
Dell is a company that sells various electronic devices including computer monitors. These are LCD screened and are sold either along with computers, or separately.
Dell monitors were popular way before BenQ monitors. However, they are majorly different from them.
These monitors have a heavyweight design which means that they are not as great in terms of mobility.
The resolution of these monitors ranges from 1024×768 to 4K. each of them comes in different models that are categorized as low-end (S and E models), professional (P models), ultrasharp (U models) and ultrasharp with premier colour (UP models).
They are used for different purposes, from gaming to professional use.
A limitation of these monitors is that it does not feature HDR. Many other features that are popular in BenQ monitors are also not available.
This also includes FreeSync, which is missing. However, Dell monitors are still known to have better functionality. They are durable and long-lasting.
This feature makes it compensate for the higher price that it has.
Dell monitors are also known for their impeccable ergonomics, grey uniformity, and wide viewing angles. They also have higher performance as compared to other monitors in the market.
This allows users to increase their productivity and carry out various tasks without hassle.
What is BenQ Monitor?
BenQ is another company that manufactures and sells various electronic devices. One of them is their monitors. These feature a TFT screen, unlike Dell monitors.
This results in increased image quality. The resolutions that these monitors offer include 4K, QHD, and FHD.
These resolutions facilitate a far clearer and sharper image as compared to Dell monitors.
BenQ monitors also have many additional features such as eye protection, Adobe RGB standard, and HDR. They also feature FreeSync, which is essentially an adaptive synchronization technology.
It aims at reducing stutter that is a result of the misalignment between the content’s frame rate and the refresh rate of the screen. This makes it inherently faster.
However, the monitors of BenQ fall behind in terms of functionality. They are not as durable as Dell monitors as well.
They do come at a lower price, but they fail to compensate for the aforementioned limitations.
These monitors have various sizes that range from compact to large. However, they are known to be lighter than Dell monitors.
This makes them more flexible and mobile. It even means that they are easy to install.
However, in terms of overall performance, BenQ may not be the best choice for most users.

Which monitors are better?
Daisy-chaining multiple monitors to a laptop with one cable
As technology advances, laptops are becoming thinner and lighter, multitasking and easy to carry. But modern laptops have one feature — a small number of ports for connection. When it becomes necessary to connect several devices to a laptop, you have to look for solutions.
Most often, the need to connect multiple monitors to a laptop arises among representatives of creative professions, such as a photographer or designer. Processing photos and working with graphics is usually multitasking and it is much more convenient to divide the workspace into several monitors for editing and review. Efficiency and speed of work thus considerably increases.
Using the daisy chain method, you can connect multiple monitors to your laptop with just one cable per device. To do this, you must use DisplayPort or Thunderbolt. The laptop is connected to the monitor with one cable, and then this monitor is connected to the next monitor with another cable, and so on for the remaining monitors. The advantage of daisy chaining multiple monitors is obvious: by using only one cable for each device, you simplify the whole process and reduce the number of wires on your work surface. This allows you to increase the speed and efficiency of your work.
